Two steps to get you up and running

  1. Sign in via a browser (on your phone or computer)
    This sets your password and confirms your access.

  2. Install the apps
    Synology Photos and Synology Drive. They're just like Google Photos and Google Drive.

Step 1: Activate your account via a browser

Activate your account

This will take you to the Synology Photos web app to sign in for the first time and set your password.

Password requirements:

  • 8+ characters
  • A mix of upper- and lowercase letters
  • At least one number and one special character

Your photo library will be empty — that’s normal. You'll start seeing your photos once we set up your photo backup on your phone.

Take a quick look around. Synology Photos will feel familiar if you’ve used Google Photos.

Step 2: Download the Apps
